Switch to Kumry
Move your books to Kumry, and know they arrived intact
Import from Xero with your full history, reconciled to the cent against your old system and recorded on a signed certificate. Bring your chart of accounts, contacts and transaction history from QuickBooks Online. Or start fresh from your opening balances.
Every Xero import ends with
- A check to the cent against the trial balance from your old system
- A list of anything that could not come across cleanly
- A signed migration certificate recording what moved

The five-step move
From a read-only connection to a signed certificate. From QuickBooks Online, Kumry brings your chart of accounts, contacts and transaction history through the same read-only connection and freeze checklist.
- 1
Connect, read-only
Connect Kumry to your current system. The connection only reads your books; Kumry never writes anything back. - 2
Choose what to bring
Pick what to bring across, from the chart of accounts and contacts to invoices, bills, payments, bank transactions and journals. Kumry shows what each choice depends on. - 3
Freeze and import
Work through a short freeze checklist so the source stays still. A final scan picks up anything that changed anyway, and a long import can be paused and resumed. - 4
Reconcile to the cent
The imported books are reconciled against your source trial balance to the cent, and anything that could not come across cleanly is listed for you to resolve. - 5
Keep the certificate
Kumry issues a signed migration certificate recording what moved and what was flagged.
Starting fresh
From a spreadsheet, MYOB or nothing at all
Kumry’s guided setup starts by asking where your books are today. If they are not in Xero or QuickBooks Online, set up your chart of accounts and GST profile, add your contacts, and enter opening balances as at the date you start.
- Step 1: Answer the guided setup questions about your business and GST registration.
- Step 2: Enter opening balances from your last trial balance or balance sheet.
- Step 3: Import bank statements as CSV, OFX or QIF from your start date.
- Step 4: Invite your accountant to review the opening position.
Switching questions
Is the connection to my old system safe?
The connection is read-only: Kumry reads your books and never writes anything back to Xero or QuickBooks Online.
What happens to anything that does not come across?
From Xero, it is listed on the migration result and on the certificate, so you and your accountant can resolve it deliberately. From QuickBooks Online, quotes, purchase orders, repeating transactions, fixed assets, projects and history notes stay in QuickBooks.
Can my accountant run the move for me?
Yes. Invite them, or issue an advisor code so their practice can connect, and they can run the import and review the exceptions.
Can I see it working before I commit?
Yes. Book a walkthrough and we will take you through how a move from your current system works.
