Moving from MYOB? Here is where things stand
Kumry can’t import from MYOB, so start fresh or talk to us. Kumry imports directly from Xero and QuickBooks Online today. With an MYOB file, you can set up Kumry from your opening balances, and we are happy to talk through your situation first.
Kumry can’t import from MYOB
There is no direct MYOB import in Kumry today, so we will not offer you a reconciled import or a migration certificate for an MYOB file. When that changes, this page will say so.

Many businesses change systems at a period boundary and carry balances, not transactions. Your old records stay where they are for reference.

Pick a start date
Choose the date your books start in Kumry, often the beginning of a financial year or a BAS period, after your last period in the old system is finalised. - 2
Set up the chart and contacts
Set up your chart of accounts and GST profile in Kumry’s guided setup, and add the customers and suppliers you deal with. - 3
Enter opening balances
Enter balances as at the start date from your final trial balance, with your accountant’s help if you like. - 4
Bring in the bank
Import bank statements as CSV, OFX or QIF from the start date, so reconciliation begins from a known position.

Can Kumry import my MYOB file?
No. Kumry can’t import from MYOB. You can start fresh with opening balances, or email support@kumry.com to talk about your situation.
What happens to my history if I start fresh?
It stays in your old system. Business records generally need to be kept for five years, so plan how you will keep access to them.
Can my accountant help me set up?
Yes. Invite them into Kumry, or issue an advisor code so their practice can connect. They can enter the opening balances and review the setup with you.
When will MYOB import be available?
We have not set a date. If it matters to you, tell us; it helps us decide what to build next.
