Cookie policy
Last updated: 16 October 2026
This policy explains the cookies and other browser storage that PMOAid Pty Ltd (ABN 88 654 942 757) trading as Kumry ("Kumry") uses on kumry.com and in the Kumry application. It should be read with our privacy policy.
In short
- Kumry sets cookies only to sign you in and keep you signed in.
- We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels or cross-site tracking.
- We do not load analytics scripts that set cookies.
- Some preferences are kept in your own browser's storage, and you can clear them at any time.
What cookies and browser storage are
A cookie is a small piece of information a website asks your browser to keep and send back with later requests. Local storage and session storage are similar places in your browser where a site can keep information; it stays on your device and is not sent with requests. Session storage is cleared when you close the tab.
Cookies Kumry sets
These cookies are strictly necessary for signing in, so they cannot be switched off within Kumry. They are marked Secure (sent only over HTTPS) and HttpOnly (not readable by scripts), and the __Host- prefix means the browser only accepts them from Kumry's own site. Public pages do not need them; they are set when you sign in.
| Name | Purpose | How long | Type |
|---|---|---|---|
| __Host-session | Keeps you signed in during a session and ties your requests to your account. | Up to 24 hours | Strictly necessary |
| __Host-kumry_rt | Lets Kumry renew your sign-in without asking for your password again. It is replaced each time it is used, and it cannot be read by scripts on the page. | Up to 30 days from your last use, and never more than 90 days in total | Strictly necessary |
| __Host-kumry_admin_session | Signs Kumry staff in to Kumry’s internal administration console. It is not set for customers. | Up to 4 hours | Strictly necessary (staff only) |
| __Host-kumry_portal_session | Keeps a business’s customer signed in to that business’s customer portal. It is set only when you open a portal sign-in link, and it cannot be read by scripts on the page. | Up to 12 hours | Strictly necessary |
Information kept in your browser
Kumry keeps some information in your browser's local or session storage so the app works smoothly. It is not used to track you across other sites.
| Name | Purpose | Where |
|---|---|---|
| theme | Remembers whether you chose the light or dark appearance. | Local storage |
| kumry_user, kumry_tenant, kumry_persona | Remember who is signed in, which organisation is open and how the app is laid out for you, so pages load without a round trip. They are not proof of sign-in and are removed when you sign out. | Local storage |
| kumry_idle:… | Coordinates sign-in renewal and inactivity sign-out between tabs you have open. | Local storage |
| kumry-app-mode, kumry_demo_dismissed, kumry-delight-… and similar | Remember interface choices, such as a display mode, notices you dismissed, the last page you were on, and the migration you were last working on. | Local storage |
| Short-lived working notes | Hold your place during a multi-step task, such as returning from a business-register lookup, accepting an invitation, or an accountant working in a client’s file. They are cleared when you close the tab. | Session storage |
Third parties
Kumry's pages do not load advertising or analytics services that set cookies. When you choose to connect another service, such as signing in to Xero or QuickBooks Online to authorise an import, or paying through our payment provider's checkout, that service's own pages may set their own cookies under their own policies.
Your choices
You can view and delete cookies and site data in your browser's settings. Signing out removes your sign-in from Kumry. If you block or delete the strictly necessary cookies, you will not be able to stay signed in to the app, although the public pages will still work. Clearing browser storage resets preferences such as the appearance you chose.
Changes to this policy
If we change the cookies or browser storage Kumry uses, we will update this page and the date at the top.
