Introducing Kumry
Kumry is accounting software for Australian small businesses and the accountants who work with them. It brings bookkeeping, bank reconciliation, approvals, reporting and GST/BAS preparation into one place, on a double-entry ledger designed so a figure can be traced back to where it came from.
Bring your books with you
Most businesses already keep their books somewhere. Kumry imports from Xero: the chart of accounts, contacts and full history. A Xero import is reconciled to the cent against the source trial balance, and Kumry issues a signed migration certificate recording what moved and what was flagged for you to review. From QuickBooks Online, Kumry brings the chart of accounts, contacts and transaction history. You start from your own history rather than a blank ledger.
Day-to-day accounting
Invoices, bills and payments; bank reconciliation from imported statements; recurring transactions; budgets; projects with draft progress claims; contacts; and documents, which are virus-scanned on upload. Foreign-currency transactions use Reserve Bank of Australia rates.
An approval trail on each posting
Each posting to the ledger records who approved it and when. Posted history is sealed, so a later change to it shows up, and the activity history shows who did what. Multi-factor sign-in protects access, and each organisation’s books are kept separate from every other organisation’s.
Reports and GST
Profit and loss, balance sheet, trial balance, aged receivables and payables, and GST reports, with exports. Kumry prepares your GST and BAS figures and lets you see the transactions behind each one. You, or your registered agent, lodge the BAS with the ATO.
For accountants
Practices get a console for working across client files, delegated access, and advisor codes that let a client invite their accountant without sharing a password.
